Steve has been building furniture since high school. He had a furniture-creating studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico with up to 11 employees. He sent his products to stores in nine countries and built furniture for celebrities homes in the Southwest. He has chairs, pedestals, and benches in the Santa Fe library and in several BLM visitor centers. His last studio was on the Island of Maui called "Turning Hawaiian," a play on using the woods of Hawaii for his wood-turned pens. Although retired he can't stop hitting a woodshop a few times a week to build furniture and turn pens. He has also started making unique wood clocks. They keep evolving in design and build.
